John,

You must be on some of the mailers list that I am on. I had gotten this email back while I was in iceberg country.

Actually, I had gotten reference to it back when it was written. That was before you joined us.

This email brings up the topic of religion. Like brother Brad, I have a problem with organized religions. They get people who become evangelists and think they are modern day prophets.

Unfortunately some of these evangelists adopt pseudo religions like Marxism, global warming and do not tell others that they are substituting that ideology for religion with all its warts.

One of the founders of our country said that our constitution will not stand without religion. But the religion he was referring to was based on freedom and understanding some basic concepts we call morality.

One of those concepts of morality was given to use by Moses. That was a few years back. It said 'thou shall not steal'.

While some resources are necessary from all to maintain a defense against evils, that term common good is stretched to blur using the 'force of government' to steal thru taxation to provide for what these new evangelists call "common welfare and good".

The money collected from taxes does not belong to the 'Government'. Rather, it is the taxpayers money. When that money is collected thru force of government and given to others, it is stealing. That stealing is theft and violation of historical morality.

The evangelist of the common good are today using this as a pseudo religion to make themselves gods on earth to define morality. Let us never forget that those new evangelist are just humans, and not anything else. Their pseudo religion is nothing more than their human interptations and human reasoning that they are forcing on others.

For me, 'Freedom' is the only answer. The U. S. Constitution in Article Three, Section Three uses the word treason. However, there is no complete definition of the meaning of the word therein.

It is my opinion that freedom of speech, freedom of press, and other freedoms do not include a right to commit treason because treason is specifically referred to in the Constitution. My opinion is that much of what is being foisted upon us is very simply, Treason.

Again, glib speech that is treasonous is simply not included under freedom of speech. Destruction of the American Constitution is treason because it steals from others the rights under it.

Today we have a new jingoism espousing a 'coming together'. But the implication of this 'coming to a meeting of minds' always has implicit loss of freedoms for some. What tools are available to prevent this new jingoism from destroying others' freedoms? How do we confront this new sleazy form of treason?

So my question to you is what tools are available to maintain freedom against these advocates of treason?

Ed K
